Terms of service
In short
Sitenote is free to use. Only add websites you own or have permission to manage, review reports before you send them, and don't misuse the service. We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we can't guarantee it will be perfect.
These terms are an agreement between you and Sitenote (“we”) about your use of Sitenote. By creating an account, you agree to them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
What Sitenote does
Sitenote checks websites you add every day, alerts you when something important breaks, and drafts a plain-language monthly report using data from the tools you connect. Sitenote is free for now. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you in advance and you won't be charged without agreeing first.
Your account
- You need to be at least 16 and able to agree to these terms.
- Give accurate details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
Sites you add
Only add websites that you own, or that you manage with the owner's permission (for example, as their agency or freelancer). The same goes for any Google or Webflow account you connect. Our checks only look at public pages, but you're responsible for having the right to monitor each site and to share its reports.
Reports and AI-written text
- Report text is drafted by AI from numbers we calculate. It can contain mistakes, so review each report before you send it or turn on automatic sending.
- You're responsible for the reports you send, including your edits and who receives them. For client sites, reports go out under your branding.
- Anyone with a report's private link can view it. Only share links with people who should see them.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Use Sitenote to monitor sites you don't have permission to monitor.
- Try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or get around usage limits.
- Use reports or emails to send spam, or anything unlawful, misleading or harmful.
- Access another person's account or data.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and we'll tell you why where we can.
Your content
You keep ownership of your data, your sites' data and your report edits. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run Sitenote for you, as described in the Privacy policy.
Third-party services
Sitenote relies on services such as Google, Webflow and our hosting providers. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we're not responsible if they change, limit or stop their service.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Sitenote running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or catch every problem with your sites. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that significantly affects you, we'll let you know.
No warranty
Sitenote is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it, including that checks or reports will be complete or accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost revenue, lost data or missed alerts. Because Sitenote is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Sitenote and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may close accounts that break these terms or have been inactive for a long time, with notice where we can. When an account is deleted, its data is removed as described in the Privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in an important way, we'll email you before the changes take effect. If you keep using Sitenote after that, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
